Claire P. Cofran
Chief Financial Officer/Chief Operating Officer
Ms. Cofran has served in various roles at Century Health Systems (CHS) for more than 30 years, including those of Business Manager, Fiscal Director, CFO and COO. She has been instrumental in developing and improving the business and financial operations of CHS and its affiliates, the Natick Visiting Nurse Association and New Century Homecare Services.
Today, she is Chief Financial Officer/Chief Operating Officer for all three agencies. In this role, Ms. Cofran implements, directs and oversees all financial and operational activities of the organization; is responsible for the overall day-to-day business operations of the agencies, including business and financial strategy and planning, monitoring, management and reporting; and works closely with the CEO to accomplish goals set forth in each company’s Strategic Plans.
A former Board member and Interim Treasurer and Clerk of the Visiting Nurse Associations of New England, Inc. (VNANE), Ms. Cofran has served as a member of its Finance Committee for more than 20 years. She also served on the VNANE’s Marketing and Contracts Committee.
An active member of the Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts, Ms. Cofran served on the Human Resource Managers Committee, the Reimbursement Committee and the Data Collection Committee.
She is currently a member of the MetroWest HR Management Association has been a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Mass. chapter since 1998. Ms. Cofran is also a past associate member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Ms. Cofran holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts; and a Master of Health Care Administration from Simmons College in Boston, from which she received a Merit Scholarship in recognition of her distinguished scholastic achievement.
