New Century Homecare Services, Inc. (New Century) was established by Century Health Systems, Inc. (the not-for-profit parent organization of the Natick VNA) on January 1 2004, to provide home-based services that are not covered by Medicare, Medicaid, HMOs, or other private insurances.

New Century was established to augment the certified home health care that the Natick VNA has been offering the MetroWest area since 1899. New Century is able to offer supportive care, e.g. homemakers, companions, respite care, etc., more efficiently and cost-effectively than if these same services in were offered by the certified VNA.

At the time of New Century’s founding, the Natick VNA closed its home care aide department, and New Century hired all employees of that Natick VNA department. Now, the same home care aides who visited the Natick VNA’s patients continue to do so, through a contract between the Natick VNA and New Century. In addition, New Century has hired additional companions, homemakers, respite care workers, and other support service staff, and offers all of these services to both Natick VNA clients as well as those who are not Natick VNA clients.
