In addition, Century Health Systems has contracted with area town Boards of Health to provide follow-up on reported communicable diseases, assistance with town-sponsored flu immunization clinics and wellness programs, and other requested health promotion activities. Our public health nurses are available to work with area residents who are dealing with a variety of health concerns, such as Lyme disease treatment and prevention, food-borne illness, flu prevention, etc.
Century Health Systems also has arrangements with scores of area family and center-provided children’s day care programs, offering nursing services related to the health and safety of pre-school aged children. The Registered Nurse in charge of this program has more than 25 years’ experience in nursing and has been recognized by the Day Care Industry as an expert in her field. She has assisted day care providers to develop health and safety policies and procedures, providing educational sessions to staff and parents of various day care centers, as well as helping with day-to-day health and safety concerns at day care centers as they arise.
