Wilderness Emergency Medical Aid

Children today are more active and adventurous than ever before. At camp, at school, or in Scout groups, children are rock climbing, mountain biking, skiing and whitewater rafting. But do children know how to respond if their adult leader is suddenly hurt or disabled?

Through role playing and hands-on practice, this two-hour course teaches children how to respond to a medical emergency in the woods, on a city street, or in their own backyards.

GirlForce

This three-hour workshop for fourth- to sixth-grade girls focuses on nutrition, fitness, smoking prevention, and positive self-image. The mission of GirlForce is to plant the seeds of lifelong good health by giving girls the knowledge and support they need to make healthy and well-informed decisions and choices.

BAT-Basic Aid Training

This course is designed for children eight to 10 years old. When a child is injured, a friend or sibling is most often the first person at the scene. It is important that children learn the basic skills and knowledge necessary to identify and prevent potentially harmful situations, to be able to treat common injuries, and to respond in emergency situations. The program emphasizes prevention to highlight its importance in reducing injuries.
